Countryside-Careers.Com or as we call it C3 is run by the team behind CJS. We all have countryside backgrounds which gives us a unique insight into the sector. And as we've been there and know how difficult it can be we understand the problems faced by existing professionals looking to move on and also those just setting out in their career. CJS was established in July 1994 giving us plenty of experience on the other side too, which allows us to see solutions to the problems.
So why did we set up C3? We saw a gap in the services offered for
countryside professionals and thought the CJS Team would be the right
people to fill that gap. With the
knowledge of the sector behind us we've been able to build
a CV matching service specifically designed for the countryside and
conservation sector. Unusually C3 includes a Freelancers section in addition to one for Jobseekers. We are very aware that increasing numbers of countryside professionals are opting for self-employment and are available for short and long-term contracts in areas ranging from environmental education to ecology. By including a Freelancers section we are providing the opportunity to advertise their availability and showcase their expertise to employers who maybe initially hadn't thought of using a freelance service or perhaps need urgent short-term cover.

C3 is a CV listing service, sometimes called a CV matching service,
for countryside, conservation, rural and land-based industry
professionals including support staff.
Which sectors does C3 cover?
All aspects of the countryside and outdoor professions. It includes everything related to the countryside sector from arboriculture to wildlife projects and everything in between including environmental education, outdoor activity instruction, horticulture, estate management, gamekeeping, ecology, animal care, countryside interpretation, visitor management , rights of way and rural regeneration plus support services such as publicity including social media and membership services. How it works
With a CV listing service Jobseekers place a brief profile about themselves online, these give an
overview of their skills, experience and preferred
career direction, Freelancers place a brief outline of their skills and availability
all profiles are searchable by the Recruiter. Once a
suitable candidate is found the Recruiter can then choose to view a full
profile and CV (one has been uploaded) and access the contact details of the Jobseeker or Freelancer.
